Majority leader of Senate Kipchumba Murkomen took a swipe at the DCI following the arrest of a Court of Appeal judge in connection to Tob Cohen’s murder.
Murkomen blasted the George Kinoti led team after Judge Sankale Ole Kantai was apprehended by detectives Friday.
The Elgeyo Marakwet Senator through a tweet was unimpressed over how details surrounding the judge was leaked to the media.
He alleged that findings from investigations are given to Daily Nation first by the authorities.
The vocal leader further claimed that the mentioned strategy was the new way of operations by the security department.

The same sentiments were shared by former Chief Justice Willy Mutunga.
Mutunga questioned whether the local daily had breached the right of privacy in sharing the details between Sankale and Cohen’s widow Sarah Wairimu.

Before the arrest of Sankale, details had emerged that the two were proclaimed to have had an intimate relationship.
Aside from the romantic affair, Sankale and Sarah were stated to have been business partners since the time the judiciary official was a lawyer.
The two were highlighted to have spent two days together at Aqua hotel in Kisumu.
It was reported that Sankale facilitated Sarah’s trip to the Lakeside city.
In order to ensure that the criminal was well taken care off, the judge ordered his driver to pick and drop her at Wilson Airport.
The investigations further noted that he went a step further and also catered for her accommodation at the hotel.
Upon arrival, it was mentioned that Sarah did not book a separate room from that of Sankale.
Additional news highlighted that the two shared a meal together before ordering for drinks.
Sarah’s stay at the premises was, however, cut short when she was summoned back to Nairobi by the police, to record her statement over the murder of the Dutch businessman.
The murder suspect made her way to Kilimani Police Station where she recorded the statement and asked for a soft copy of the document.
She later sent the copy to Sankale requesting him to make changes before giving it back.
