Cases of muggers causing chaos within the CBD have been on the increase in the recent past.
According to police records the muggers operate in various stalls along Ngara and Luthuli streets in Nairobi.
The office of the DCI bored to pressure after members of the public raised concerns over the increase of such incidents in the city.
A Twitter user Juma G, posted that muggings in the city were on the rise and they were operating even during the day.
According to him, members of the public were not helping victims whenever they are attacked.
