Deputy President William Ruto seems to be having some good luck come his way as the race for the Presidency heading into 2022 hit’s up.
The DP is already a beneficiary of a number of political rejects who have been jumping ship to his bandwagon to help push his Political Agenda.
Days after receiving Malindi MP Aisha Jumwa and Former Kakamega Senator Boni Khalwale to his camp, Ruto is again set to smile as he is set to to bag another Political reject, this time from Raila Odinga’s own backyard.
It has been revealed that Former Gem MP and Raila Odinga’s cousin Jakoyo Midiwo is set to join Ruto’s Tanga Tanga Squad.
Jakoyo, who is a former close confidant of Raila Odinga has allegedly been contacting Ruto on a number of occasions to air his frustrations with Opposition Chief Raila Odinga.
According to Jakoyo, Raila Odinga has abandoned him following his defeat to current MP Elisha Odhiambo in the 2017 general elections.
It will be remembered that Jakoyo Midiwo at one point said on National TV that ODM Party, a Political outfit he was once loyal to was as good as dead.
Jakoyo has been under attacks recently even from MP Elisha Odhiambo who has told him to focus on clearing his tainted name with the EACC instead of attacking ODM.
Raila’s brother, Oburu Odinga has also been attacking Jakoyo Midiwo and even doubted his Loyalty to the ODM when he was still a member.
Oburu made claims that Jakoyo was a secret Night Visitor to Statehouse ahead of the 2017 General Elections and that he divulged confidential information from Raila’s Camp to Uhuru’s Camp.
Jakoyo Midiwo’s recent plans to join Ruto’s camp will certainly put him under the spotlight one more time and it remains to be seen how the people from Nyanza will react to his decision.
Ruto is said to be out to build a team with a great National Outlook that will help him have a smooth running to the Presiential seat.
