The attacker, a 30-year-old Spaniard, was held by armed officers near a Ryanair check-in desk after threatening to slash his male victim’s throat with his weapon.

Police described the shocking incident, which happened just before 6am yesterday/on Monday, as a “random attack.”

The first victim, a 25-year-old Mexican woman, suffered injuries to an ear and a Good Samaritan who tried to help, a 48-year-old Romanian, suffered wounds to his hand after he bravely tried to grab the knife from the attacker when he witnessed the stabbing.
