Sonko pays ticket to amputee player signed to Turkish team

Ambassador of good deeds, Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko has paid air ticket to one of the Amputee footballer.

Brian Ochieng, one of the vibrant amputee footballer, has been signed to a turking team.

Announcing the news on his Twitter, Sonko expressed how he sponsored the team to Mexico last year after the National government failed to cater for their expenses.

” It’s barely 4 months since I sponsored our national amputees football team in the Mexico World Cup. I’m happy to see one of the players, Brian Ochieng has now been signed by a top European team in Turkey, ” Sonko tweeted.

The national Amputee team las year made their second appearance for Kenya in the world cup after getting knocked out of the second round in the 2014 world cup.

Kenya Amputee Football Federation (Kenaff) secretary general Peter Oloo said their aim was to improve from the last edition of the World Cup in 2014 where they finished 17th out of 24 participating countries.

Oloo thanked Nairobi County Governor Mike Mbuvi who helped the team travel to Mexico.
