Machakos County Governor Alfred Mutua has applauded president Uhuru Kenyatta for his good leadership and performance since he took office in 2013.
Mutua said the President is not dictatorial as he has been labelled by a section of politicians opposed to his leadership.
He further stated that Uhuru will walk the footsteps of former South African President Nelson Mandela and ex-US President Barack Obama when he completes his second and final term in office.
While taking to his twitter account he wrote,
6. President Uhuru Kenyatta is a visionary leader and not a dictator. Just like Mandela who served his term and left office and like President Barrack Obama who did his two terms totaling 8 years and President Jakaya Kikwete who served for 10 years….

Mutua’s sentiments come barely a week since former Vice President Kalonzo Musyoka said Uhuru could be the next Kenya’s Prime Minister.
Mutua has expressed his interest in the 2022 presidential bid.
He had earlier asked Kalonzo and other leaders to back his candidature when that time comes.
Mutua believes that he has what it takes to ascend to power after Uhuru completes his term in office.
