After completing the loan move for Barcelona midfielder Denis Suarez, Arsenal are looking to bolster their squad with the addition of Paris Saint Germain midfielder Christopher Nkunku.
Arsenal were looking to land Belgian winger Yannick Carrasco on loan but his Chinese club, Dalian Yifang termed the Gunner’soffer too low. Arsenal were also reported to be pursuing the transfer of Inter Milan winger Ivan Perisic but talks have since fallen through despite the Croatian handing in a transfer request.
Nkunku, 21, is available on an initial £2m loan with a view to a permanent deal, similar to the agreement reached with Barcelona for midfielder Denis Suarez who joined Arsenal on Wednesday. The move for Nkunku is reported to have an effect of Emile Smith Rowe who is set to join German club RB Leipzig.
