Safety Down The Drain! Makueni man abducted then Found Dead on Wote-Machakos road

Homicide detectives are investigating the murder of a middle-aged man who was gruesomely murdered on the night of Wednesday, January 30, at Kilala area in Makueni County. Reports indicate the man had been hijacked by unknown people, stabbed several times, tied behind their car and dragged for over 100 meters along Wote-Machakos road.

Makueni county Commissioner Mohammed Maalim said around 10pm boda boda operators at Itangani market heard screams and upon following to check what was happening, they saw a car dragging a man from behind. “They told our officers that the men in the car panicked and dropped the man in the middle of the road before abandoning their car a few metres,” said Maalim.

According to police, the deceased had severe head and chest injuries and he is yet to be identified.

Maalim said they had already commenced investigations and were still pursuing the suspects as their motive remains unknown. Already, one suspect was arrested after he emerged from a nearby forest without shoes and had injuries on his hands. The car used in the heinous crime has since been taken to Kibwezi Police Station for examination by detectives. The body of the deceased was picked and taken to Kibwezi hospital mortuary awaiting postmortem.
