Pep Guardiola Told Man Utd Legend The Only United Player He Would Sign For Man City

Pep Guardiola has worked wonders at Manchester City during his time at the Etihad, helping them usurp Manchester United to become the country’s leading force.

The City boss put United to the sword again earlier this season, beating United 3-1 in the Manchester derby back in November.

Guardiola has assembled one of the best teams in Premier League history, with players such as Kevin De Bruyne, David Silva, Sergio Aguero and Ederson all key.

And UniBet claim the Spaniard would only take one United star at his side.

Given David De Gea’s sensational form, you would expect the United goalkeeper to be a top dream target.

But it is not the Spain international who Guardiola would take.

Instead, UniBet say Guardiola told an unnamed United legend earlier this year that Marcus Rashford is the sole player he would love to sign.

Unfortunately for him, however, that looks unlikely to ever happen.

Rashford is happy at United for now, particularly since the Red Devils sacked Jose Mourinho back in December.

And, as a result, a lengthy stay now beckons.

Guardiola, meanwhile, described United forward Rashford as ‘perfect’ back in 2017.

“All of them (United’s English players) they are perfect,” he said at the time.

“Rashford is a big talent, of course, and Lingard.

England is safe, you have outstanding players.

“Not just here in City – United, Tottenham, Chelsea. Come on guys – you can do it, the international team.”

Rashford could feature when United lock horns with Arsenal in the FA Cup tonight
