Chelsea boss refuses to rule out Hazard and Courtois exits

New Chelsea manager Maurizio Sarri has refused to rule out the potential exits of Eden Hazard and Thibaut Courtois, while admitting he is the type of boss who quickly gets bored of the transfer window.  Sarri was giving his first press conference since taking over at the helm, and spoke to the media in both English and Italian. When asked about the status of the club retaining their key players, Sarri was diplomatic in his answer.

‘Clearly we would always like to keep all strongest players this is what any manager wants to do and any club wants to do but we will have to see how transfer market goes over next few days.

‘But i want to clarify, I am much more a pitch manager than a general manager,’ said Sarri.

‘I think that I am one of few managers who is bored by transfer market. I don’t want to talk about it and not interested in it.’

Both Hazard and Courtois have been linked with summer moves to Spanish giants Real Madrid, with the latter entering his final year of contract in west London. Sarri went on to suggest a strong willingness to work with the players already at his disposal at Stamford Bridge.
