According to Italian broadcaster Premium Sport he has rejected overtures from Serie A because he is determined to move to England.
And it is claimed that the Reds are one of the trio looking at the versatile 25-year-old.
Bernard made 157 appearances for Shakhtar, scoring 28 goals.
