Arsenal ready a £44m bid for exciting French striker

Arsenal are ready to launch a £44m bid to sign Bayern Munich attacker Kingsley Coman as Unai Emery continues to overhaul his squad this summer, according to reports in France via the Sun. Emery has already brought in five new signings since replacing Arsene Wenger as manager with goalkeeper Bernd Leno, right-back Stephan Lichtsteiner, centre-back Sokratis and midfield duo Lucas Torreira and Matteo Guendouzi all arriving in recent weeks.
However, the boss admitted at the weekend that he’s still in the market for further reinforcements if the right opportunity comes up and after strengthening his defensive options this summer, it looks like Emery is ready to add another attacker to his ranks before the start of the new season.

The Sun are citing a report from BeIN Sports that claims Arsenal are now ready to test Bayern’s resolve with a £44m bid to sign Coman after identifying the winger as a potential new recruit. The 22-year-old came through the youth ranks at Paris Saint-Germain before joining Juventus in 2014 but struggled to make an impact in Italy so was sent out on loan to Bayern Munich in 2015.

Coman enjoyed a two-year spell at the Allianz Arena before making his move permanent last summer and he made 33 appearances to help the Bavarian giants clinch another Bundesliga title last season, despite being hampered by a serious ankle injury which ruled him out of the World Cup.
The French international is back in full training ahead of the new season but it remains to be seen whether he fits in to new boss Niko Kovac’s first team plans so he could be open to a move this summer if it’s made clear he won’t be a regular.
