Lingard, who struck arguably the pick of the England goals with a powerful top-corner effort from outside the box, is delighted with the nation’s progress so far in the tournament and believes that anything is possible.
“It is an amazing feeling, even better that we won,” Lingard told reporters. “We are top of the table and can go into the Belgium game with confidence. “It is great to be around the lads, there is a great team spirit at the moment.” When asked whether he thought England could go all the way, Lingard replied: “Of course, with the squad we have got and the confidence flowing I don’t see why not!
