Mahrez ‘transfer demands put Manchester City move in jeopardy’

Riyad Mahrez’s proposed move to Manchester City is allegedly at risk of falling through due to the player’s transfer demands. The Algeria international has requested a percentage of the transfer fee the Foxes are due to receive, according to The Sun. Mahrez is a long-term City target and the latest reports suggest that he could finally move to the Etihad Stadium this summer in a deal worth £75m.

However, Leicester are said to be reluctant to hand over a portion of the payment they receive for the winger and are considering slamming the breaks on the agreement. The Foxes have reportedly lined up Basel star Mohamed Elyounoussi as a potential replacement for Mahrez.
