‘How to Cook Ugali Under One Minute’ Angers Kenyans

Made from pounding maize meal and water, Ugali is one of the most common dishes in Kenya and the aroma of well-cooked Ugali sifting through the air is a common fixture in many neighbourhoods.

Now scientists are seeking to revolutionize how ugali is made by turning this classic 20-minute meal into a sumptuous meal in less than a minute.

 

However, Kenyans are not buying into the idea of ‘One Minute Ugali’ and they were up in arms over this new style of cooking the meal.
