Harambee Stars is set to play in a friendly match with neighbours Uganda Cranes on Sunday, September 8. The team is already in camp and almost at a full house. All players called up by coach Francis Kimanzi have reported to camp save for Ayub Timbe who is expected to check in on Wednesday afternoon.
There has been a slight change to the squad with Bandari United’s Brian Otieno called in to replace Joseph Okumu who is yet to settle in Sweden. Okumu made the move to Swedish top tier side IF Elfsborg last week and is still in the Orientation stage at his new home.
Wazito FC’s Johnstone Omurwa is also a late inclusion into the squad and comes in to replace his club teammate Bernard Ochieng who was ruled out with an injury.
The match, set for 4 PM on Sunday at the Kasarani International Stadium will be Francis Kimanzi’s first since his appointment as the Harambee Stars head coach. It is his third stint as the National team coach and will be assisted by KCB’s Zedekiah Otieno.
