Reggae DJ Kriss Darlin is one of the 11 candidates that ODM has cleared to contest for the party’s ticket in the Kibra by-elections. The DJ whose real name is Christone Odhiambo has been one of the most talked-about candidates after he kneeled before Raila Odinga begging to be given the ODM ticket.
ODM had given candidates up to mid-day on Tuesday to clear the nomination fees. More than 20 candidates had expressed interest in the seat which fell vacant after the death of Ken Okoth.
Here is the list of cleared candidates:

4. Ojijo William Reuben Ayako
5. Oguwa Stephen Okello
6. Okoth Benard Otieno

10. Musungu Benson
11. Owade Lumumba Patrick.
The party will hold its nominations on Saturday.
ODM’s list came a few hours after its rival party Jubilee declined an alleged letter presented to the IEBC containing names of Jubilee aspirants who will take part in the same by-election.
@IEBCKenya received a letter, on Monday 26th August 2019 at 5pm, forwarding names of aspirants of Jubilee Party for the Kibra by election. However, it has come to the attention of the Commission that Jubilee Party has denied authoring the said letter and termed it as FAKE. ^EA

While acknowledging that it had received a letter perceived to be from Jubilee, IEBC through its Twitter account said that it had sent back the letter after Jubilee denied it.
