MP Ngunjiri, Itumbi clash over Jubilee’s Controversial Letter

Nyeri Town MP Ngunjiri Wambugu has found himself on the receiving end of social media users led by former State House digital director in the communications department Dennis Itumbi after questioning the legality of the letter allegedly presented to the IEBC by the Jubilee party.

The letter detailing the names and number of Jubilee aspirants in the forthcoming Kibera by-elections went viral on Monday with Jubilee party later coming out strongly and denouncing the letter as Fake.

And in a statement on its Twitter account, IEBC indeed confirmed that they received a letter on Monday forwarding the names of aspirants of Jubilee Party for the Kibra by-election.

The letter later became a center of controversy facing, Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC), and the popular party. It is the same controversial letter that kept Nyeri Town MP on the receiving end after questioning its author.

Through his Facebook account, Ngunjiri suspected the letter was forged by the same people who forged controversial ‘La Mada’ alleging that some people were planning to eliminate DP William Ruto.

His post was however met with mixed reactions with a section of users asking the vocal MP to come out clean on what he knows about the said letter.  Itumbi promised to have Ngunjiri testify in the court of law on what he knew about the letter.

Dennis Itumbi I will apply in court for you to testify. You seem to know there was a Fake letter and its authors on La Mada. I will make the application on Monday. You would really help the court with info.

Btw not even DCI alleges Forgery of the La Mada letter. Forgery implies there was an original letter…interesting. I will make the application. You have more info than the investigators.

Secondly, No letter has been returned. Maybe it is in your imagination, as always you are spreading Fake Information.
