Former AFC Leopards midfielder, Victor Majid has joined Zambian Super League side, Mufulira Wanderers F.C on a two-year deal.
Majid decamps to Wanderers four months after he joined Prison Leopards from Ingwe. After Prisons was relegated, he was close to signing for Kabwe Warriors but he failed to agree on personal terms and the deal failed to materialize.
The defensive midfielder, who has previously turned out for the national team, Harambee Stars has now inked a two-year deal with the Mufulira Town based team.
His representative, Alukwe Mutanda has confirmed Majid’s move to Wanderers revealing that he got a good offer from the side.
“I can confirm that Majid has joined Mufulira Wanders on a two-year deal. They have him a good deal and he agreed to join them. He is already looking forward to playing for the team,” Alukwe told Opera News.
On the failed move to Kabwe Warriors, Alukwe said failure to agree on personal terms led to the collapse of the reported move.
“It’s true he was close to joining Warriors. Almost everything had been agreed upon but an issue on personal terms led to the collapse of the move. I am however glad that he has moved to Wanderers,” he added.
Majid has previously turned out for Chemelil Sugar, Bandari, KCB. Karuturi Sports and Sony Sugar.
