Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko has said that he is finally at peace with Interior PS Karanja Kibicho whom he severally accused of threatening his life.
In an interview with K24’s Anne Kiguta on Sunday, Sonko said he successfully mended fences with Kibicho following a closed-door meeting chaired by President Uhuru Kenyatta and the Interior CS Fred Matiang’i.
“The president called Kibicho and I, we met him together with Matiang’i at the Office of the President. We had tea together and shook hands and we forgot our differences and we are now even working together. Differences is part of life,” said Sonko.

Since last year and early this year, the flamboyant governor has engaged in a battle with Kibicho over the management of the capital city.
Sonko claimed that Kibicho was undermining his authority and that he was working closely with a Jubilee politician whom he had identified and was forcing the governor to appoint him deputy governor of the county.
Sonko once claimed that his life was in danger after Kbicho sent him threatening messages which forced him to relocate his Nairobi office to his Mua Hills home in Machakos County.
