It basically supports the handshake between President Uhuru Kenyatta and AU Representative Hon Raila Odinga.
The choice of pitching camp in Kisumu was influenced by the fact that the region has been in recent past affected by Election Violence with residents forced to bear harsh consequences.
Peace, security, cohesion, support for handshake, end of violence during electioneering period, end of Gender Based Violence is what Embrace Movement Kenya advocates for, #EmbraceInKisumu @embrace_ke pic.twitter.com/vneYmIlxov

In the spirit of solidarity the group visited the mother to baby Pendo, who still has bitter pills to swallow following the 2017 post election violence which saw her lose Baby Pendo.

Although the group has always insisted that their movement across the country is in good faith, some legislators have hit hard on them for seemingly working against The Deputy President William Ruto.
The group has however been hit with a massive storm after the formation of Inua Mama group. The group is behind The Deputy President and does not give any credits to the handshake.
The two have been clashing with Inua Mama accusing Embrace Kenya for engaging in early politics.
This became visible and bold during the last embrace tour in Murang’a when Hon Sabina Chege was reduced to tears after the crowd booed him.
