Kenyan Female artiste Muthoni the Drummer Queen has shared her words of wisdom to Kenyan musicians in pursuit of their dreams.
The Celebrated musicians encouraged Kenyan artistes to keep pressing on and not to compromise their dreams by going with the flow in the music industry.
Muthoni the drummer Queen says that the drive for any artist is to follow their intuition and bring the best out of their talent without having to apologize to people who do not appreciate their efforts.
“Dear Kenyan artist, don’t dumb down. Don’t reduce your dopeness for acceptance. Don’t follow the the market, follow your intuition. Bring forth your magic. Create epic shit. Don’t apologise if they don’t get it, they will. Elevate people with your artistry. Don’t quit. ” she said wrote in her post
Her advise is timely considering that artists had started the Play Kenyan Music campaign which seeks to call for Kenyan talent to be promoted but at the same time thought of as a desperate campaign.
