Senior Council Ahmednassir has revealed the advice he gave to President Uhuru Kenyatta to enable him to fight corruption in Kenya.
While speaking in an interview, SC Nassir said how he asked President Kenyatta to start his fight against graft with his own cabinet secretary by identifying each an everyone’s net worth and salary.
“Let Uhuru start with his Cabinet and say, this is your asset, and this is your salary … and you do not have a rich father. How did you acquire it? The onus will be on the person to explain and if they fail, the Government should recover the property.”
He further added saying how half of the helicopters at Wilson airport are owned by politicians hence most of the salaries are not worth to buy helicopters.
“I told the President that Wilson has 100 to 120 helicopters owned by politicians. Why don’t you start with these helicopters because they cost about Sh200 million each.”
President Kenyatta has in the past maintained his stand on fighting graft vowing that he would not be scared or intimidated by whoever it is against fighting corruption.
