Former Kakamega Senator Boni Khalwale has reacted to the sad incident of Shalom Hospital in Machakos County where Baby Ethan Muendo was injected with Morphine and died.
While speaking in an Interview Boni noted how the incident proved how most health facilities are being run by an unqualified professional who knows nothing about medicine.
“Our nursing homes are run by quacks, in this case, the person who administered the Morphine was not a qualified nurse, the person who dispensed the Morphine was not a qualified pharmacist” Said Khalwale.
He further added saying that it is unfortunate our nursing homes are not well equipped with their medical staff.
Baby Ethan who was killed by an overdose of morphine a drug medically prescribed to relieve pain.
According to Kenya Medical Practitioners and Dentists Board Chairman Prof. Fredrick Were said baby Ethan has injected a dose of morphine that was 20 times stronger than the required amount.
