Angry residents of Gataka sub-county in Kajiado North engaged police in a running battle for the better part of Tuesday after a primary school pupil was ran over and killed by a lorry.
The angry residents demonstrated along the small town before burning down two lorries used for ferrying sand in the area. Police officers were forced to launch tear gas canisters to disperse the angry demonstrators who were paying for the driver’s blood
More officers have been deployed to the place to contain the situation
