Opposition Chief Raila Odinga seems to be one of those individuals who believe in the saying “better late than never”.
Closely over a week after the burial of Jonathan Moi, first son to former President Daniel Arap Moi, Raila Odinga and his brother Oburu Odinga took it upon themselves to finally visit Mzee Moi at his Kabarak home to condole with him.
The duo were welcomed by Baringo Senator Gideon Moi. They signed the condolence book before having a brief chat with Mzee Moi.
Details of their conversation however remain scanty.
“Visited retired President Daniel Arap Moi at his Kabarak home to condole with him following the recent passing of his son Jonathan. We continue to wish strength to the former President and his family. May God grant them peace during this trying time,” Said Raila.
It will be remembered that both Raila Odinga and President Uhuru Kenyatta both failed to attend Jonathan’s burial as they were both in China for official duties.
Jonathan Moi Succumbed to Cancer at the War Memorial Hospital in Nakuru.
He was buried at his Kabimoi ranch in Kabimoi, Eldama Ravine in Baringo County.
