Mathare end AFC Leopards eight-match unbeaten run

Mathare United completed a double over AFC Leopards beating them 2-0 in a Kenya Premier League match played at Bukhungu Stadium in Kakamega on Sunday.

AFC Leopards came to this enjoying a nine match unbeaten run with the last loss being a 1-0 at Bukhungu in on March 13.

Cassa Mbungo charges went to the break trailing 2-0. The Big Cats conceded the first goal at the 28th minute after they allowed Cliff Nyakeya low short to find the back of the net.

Five minutes to the break, Jairus Adira failed to contain James Kinyajui’s shot and Klinsman Omulanga added the second

AFC Leopards pushed for a goal in the second half ended to be unfruitful as Whvonne Isuza, Brian Marita, David Ochieng failed to hit the target on different occassions.

Mathare stay fourth despite the win while, AFC Leopards stay eight awaiting Ulinzi Stars results.
