Posta Rangers’ bid to avoid relegation from the Kenya Premier League received a huge boost after they drew 0-0 with Bandari at the Kenyatta Stadium in Machakos on Sunday afternoon. It will be a precious point for John Kamau’s side who are now 6 points clear of the relegation zone.
Bandari will have themselves for not collecting the maximum points having wasted two really good chances in the first half. First, they had a one on one with the Rangers keeper but somehow still managed to miss the target. Another golden chance went missing minutes towards the end of the first half, much to Mwalala’s despair.
Rangers tightened up after the break and restricted the visitors to zero chances in the second half despite having much of the ball. Bandari now move to 49 points on the log and remain in 3rd place. Posta Rangers on the other hand will prepare for a tough away assignment against Ulinzi stars next Thursday.
