Why Kabogo is pushing for an economic handshake

Former Kiambu governor William Kabogo is pushing for an economic handshake that will bring a new dawn for Wanjiku.

The governor is said to be passionate about the issues affecting the common Mwananchi.

In an interview with the writer, Kabogo states that his aim is to bring all politicians together as well as church leaders and channel ways that youths will benefit from the government.

“I m in a mission to bring all the church politicians together irrespective of what they stand for as well as the church leaders, already the platform is set as its the time to engage and empower the youths across the Country,” he said.

He said that more and more leaders are ready to join the wagon as the main theme is to empower the youths across the 47 counties.

“The issue of 2022 political realignment isn’t a factor what matters most by now is how we will help our nation by equipping the youths with requisite skills for the betterment of their future,” he said.

The former states that youths’ potentials haven’t been utilized well in the Country as there are career opportunities that are untapped.

Kabogo is also pushing the government to reconsider more youth living with disabilities.

He said that the government and the society seem to have forgotten about their welfare.

“The technical and vocational collages will help to ring back the sense of belonging to those whom society has aside like disabled,” Kabogo said.

Kabogo said the initiatives are aimed at promoting entrepreneurship and self-employment among persons with disabilities (PWDs).

In 2017, President Uhuru Kenyatta had announced a rapid expansion plan for technical colleges across the Country.

He said the Government’s plan is to have at least 50,000 learners in Technical Vocational Education and Training (TVET) institutions before 2022 but very minimal has been achieved.

“We have to leverage on the capacity of the youth, their dynamic force and capital in their potential to steer the country’s development agenda,” Uhuru had said.

On Sunday Kabogo engaged the DP at Akorino fundraising in Molo where he requested him not to wait for the automatic endorsement when it comes to 2022.

Already DP has declared interest to succeed the president when his terms comes to an end.

Although a section of politicians allied to Maina Kamanda has been opposing Ruto’s candidature.

The team has gone ahead to register a political party that they aim to use to propel their political career.
