Kenya’s Olympic giants Eliud Kipchoge and Brigid Kosgei made history in the 2019 London Marathon Sunday attracting the attention of Britain’s Prince Harry.
The Duke of Sussex in a very rare occasion came out to recognize the star athletes in London.
In photos seen by Daily Active, Prince Harry went ahead to pose photo with the two who won the men’s and women’s elite runners categories respectively.
Sports CS Amina Mohamed who was accompanying the Kenyan team tweeted, “It was absolutely magical to witness Eliud Kipchoge and Brigid Kosgey cross the finish line to win the #LondonMarathon2019 titles in London.
“Our approach to sports management remains firmly anchored on the athletes. #team254inLondon #TwendeKazi,” Amina added.
Kenya’s Eliud Kipchoge ran the second fastest marathon in history to win the London Marathon for the fourth time.
Also present to offer home support was Kenya’s envoy to UK Manaoah Esipisu.
