Two suspected thugs were on Sunday stoned to death by an angry mob in Mowlem, Kangundo road.
The thugs were allegedly killed after allegedly stealing television sets.
The owner of the TV allegedly sounded an alarm prompting an attack by an angry mob.
Elsewhere, five men arrested for kidnapping a 13-year-old girl and gang raping her in Ovo forest in Tana River will be arraigned in court today (Monday).
The Directorate of Criminal Investigations says the five suspects Said Omar, Galgalo Athumani, Athumani Mohamed, Yasir Mohamed and Dero Juma took turns in raping the girl.
The 13-year-old victim is currently undergoing treatment-including counseling and other necessary support that she requires at a Hospital in Tana River.
Two more suspects are being sought by detectives.
In other terrible news, several passengers suffered injuries when a speeding car plunged into a valley along Kiambu road when the driver lost control over the vehicle.
Reports indicate the 14-seater matatu was in a group of vehicles that were overlapping when it veered off the road and crashed into the valley.
The tragic incident occurred when the PSV was on a slippery stretch of road on the ghat section and its brakes failed after which the driver lost control over the vehicle and it rolled down some 150 feet into a steep valley in Karura Forest near DCI headquarters.
