More people died in 2018 than in 2017 when there were widespread allegations of extra-judicial killings.
A research by the Kenya Bureau of Statistics indicated that there was a general spike in the people who died in the country.
In their report, the number of people who died in the year 2018 shot to 1065 from 956 in 2017.
The report also included towns with the highest deaths.
Eldoret town had the highest number of deaths at 90, Nakuru had the second highest at 88, while Meru and Nairobi came third and fourth at 79 and 66 respectively.
In 2018, some 75,037 people committed crimes, recording a 5 per cent increase from the year 2017.
Kiambu and Nairobi had the highest crime records in the report.
The Kenyan Courts are said to have been a lot busier after recording a 16.9 per cent increase to hit 571,094 from 370488 in 2017.
“The number of cases disposed of increased by 21.8 per cent from 304,182 in 2017 to 370,488 in 2018. The number of pending cases has been on an upward trend since 2015 and stood at 571,094 in 2018,” the report read in part.
