2 People Burnt to Death in Thika Road morning Accident

A man and a woman were on Monday morning burnt to death after their car burst into flames near Juja City  Mall along the Thika Superhighway.

Confirming the incident, Juja Police Commander Dorothy Migarusha revealed that the incident occurred at 1 am.

She further stated that the accident happened after the private vehicle carrying the victims, the man and the woman, rammed into a truck from behind.

It is reported that the private car then veered off the road and burst into flames, burning the two occupants beyond recognition.

Officer Migarusha noted that the remains of the deceased were moved to the General Kago Funeral Home in Thika.

In an almost similar incident, three other people have succumbed following separate accidents that happened in Chogoria and Pangari over the Easter weekend.

Of the three, two people died and two others left in critical condition in Chogoria, Embu County, on Sunday night following a crash on Meru-Nairobi highway near Kajiunduthi Secondary.

The injured were admitted to Chogoria PCEA Hospital in critical conditions.

In a separate incident, eight people died on Sunday after an unofficial street car racing in Namanga border between Kenyans and Tanzanians turned tragic.

The incident that involved two cars, lead to the death of spectators while scores others were injured and taken to hospital.
