Talented artiste SZA’s IG name change to a Nigerian name raises eye-brows

American singer and ‘Love Galore’ Hit maker Solána Imani Rowe, who goes by the stage name SZA has given herself a Nigerian name and it has taken her fans by surprise.

The 28-year-old singer who was born to African American parents, a Christian mother and a Muslim father in St. Louis, Missouri in 1990, changed her name on Instagram to Amarachi Chinonso.

Nigerians have since asked the question if she’s indeed of Nigerian Descent or she just wanted to identify with the Igbo Culture.

After sharing snaps of her Xmas 2018 celebrations, SZA had cleared her entire Instagram which is often a tactic artists use when they’re about to introduce a new era.

She however resurfaced online on February 25th and has been posting consistently since.

Still looking as fierce as ever, her captions leave a lot to question as they portray a certain darkness and sadness emanating from the star.

In October 2012, SZA self-released her debut EP, See.SZA.Run, which she then followed up with her second EP, titled S, in April 2013.
