Yesterday EMB Records President Kevin Bahati unveiled Gospel singer Daniel Ng’ang’a popularly known as Danny Gift as his new signee in event dubbed EMB rebirth.
However little is know about Danny Gift’s Music journey.
Danny Gift has been in the gospel industry for over 10 years now with hit songs like; Kazi ya Msalaba ft Daddy Owen, Yesu ni Wangu ft Guardian Angel, Kitu Gani, Nitakase among others.
He was born and bred in a strict Akorino family, but he later removed his headscarf and converted to another denomination, a move that put him at crossroads with the members of his family for more than two years.
He started singing professionally in 2008 in a trio gospel group called Fisher of men, which later split in 2010 after section of the group members felt like they were being dragged down behind by others.
In 2011 he released his debut single titled Najua upo a song that also helped cement his place in the gospel industry.
However it was until 2012 that Danny Gift officially debuted in the showbiz scene after he emerged as one of the finalist at a reality television show dubbed the Exodus, a singing competition aired by the national broadcaster.
He got married in July 2018 months after he went down on his knee to ask for his bae’s hand in marriage.
The proposal was one of its kind judging with how he organised it, the list of friends invited and most definitely, his Instagram posts which followed afterwards.
