Pst Ng’ang’a appeal to stop his prosecution quashed

Pastor James Ng’ang’a’s application seeking to stop an intended prosecution has been served a blow by the court which has dismissed it with Justice Makau saying the pst has failed to demonstrate how his fundamental rights have been violated.

Ng’ang’a owes the to a landlord in Karen. The Neno Evangelism pastor moved to court to stop his prosecution over sh 3.6 million arrears.

In his filed case documents, Pr Ng’ang’a claimed that the row stems from a civil dispute with a Mr. Wickson Njoroge Mwathi, who acted as an agent for the Chinese nationals he rented his 7 bedroomed house to.

He accused Mr Mwathi of making good his threat to “use his connections with the police” to settle a score with him.

Through lawyer Cliff Oduk, he has sued Mr. Mwathi, the IG of Police, the DCI and the DPP.

Mr Oduk asked the court to issue an order of injunction restraining the agents of the sued parties from instituting, arraigning and charging Pr Ng’ang’a in court.

Through his lawyer, the pastor argues that he has been subjected “untold mental and psychological anguish and torture” following the accusations leveled against him.

Ng’ang’a claims the move to prosecute him over payment of Sh3.6 million to Mr. Mwathi as lease agreement for a seven-bedroom house in Karen, is illegal.
