Secular singer
Well, on 23 January 2017, Akothee shared a photo of herself posing with a guitar accompanied by a deep caption. She was contemplating quitting the secular industry and joining gospel music.
Akothee before she got saved, she wrote: Sijui mda Huu niimbe tuu gospel niokoke niachane na mambo ya dunia ? lakini nikiachana na dunia nitaishi wapi mie AKOTHE? NA sioni njia yoyote ya kubadili mavazi au tabia yangu yoyote , waona inawezekana kweli? basi ungependa niingie kanisa gani maana Sda hawapendagi ujingare.
Loosely translated to: Should I start singing gospel this time round and leave behind worldly things? But if I quit secular music where will I live? I don’t see myself changing my ways and dress code as well. Do you think it can be possible? Which church do you want me to attend because Seventh Day Adventist (SDA) Are very strict?
A local daily reached out to Size 8 for comment on
The Mateke hitmaker was quoted saying: I used to be a secular artiste before getting born again and I know the dilemma of trying to hold on there but I am asking her to come to Jesus. In fact, who knows, she could even become more famous and earn more like I am doing since I got born-again.
Size 8 went on saying
Size 8’s wish or rather prophesy has come true and many are mesmerized. Size 8 was reached out for answers but she was unavailable. She later shared a powerful verse on her social media accounts which read:
God I will praise you forever for in you I find love ,grace, mercy and peace. In a world full of hate, selfishness and evil I ran to you. Who be like my God. The world is full of your wonderful works your beauty is in your creation. Glorious God be praised.
