How super fan honoured K’Ogallo’s star

Gor Mahia star man Jacques Tuyisenge has met a young Gor Mahia fan who was named after him after joining K’Ogalo in 2016.

The Rwandan striker hit the ground running when he joined the Kenyan Premier League in January 2016, scoring crucial goals for the Kenyan Premier League leaders.

It is during the same time that a family of Gor Mahia fans got a baby boy and named him Jacques Tuyisenge Kawere.

The Amavubi captain got a chance to meet ‘his young self’ on Thursday and he took to social media to express his happiness at meeting the young K’Ogalo supporter.

“It was 2016 when I joined Gor Mahia, That’s when this baby boy was born and his father is great Gor mahia fan so he named his son after me.

“It was a pleasure meeting Jacques Tuyisenge Kawere, I can’t thank you enough my fans for the love and the support,” he posted.

Tuyisenge has been a pillar at Gor Mahia for the last four seasons scoring vital goals.

He recently scored the lone goal of the match as Gor overcame Angolan Petro Atletico to qualify for CAF Confederation Cup quarter final.

He will, however, sit out of quarter final matches after he was slapped with a two-match ban by Confederation of African Football (CAF).

Gor Mahia will be hoping to put themselves in a good position of progressing to the semis when they take on Moroccan side, RSB Berkane, on Sunday, April 7, at Moi International Sports Center Kasarani.

Other players who are suspended include, Harun Shakava, Ernest Wendo and Shafik Batambuze.
