Will Uhuru’s state address unite Divided Jubilee Party?

The state of the nation address by President Uhuru Kenyatta at the National assembly is expected to iron out all the thorny issues besetting Jubilee politicians.

The question that Kenyans have raised is whether the divisive politics within the Jubilee party will persist or President Uhuru will call for unity.

Political analysts states that the division within the government is likely to play its role as opposition politicians allied to president Uhuru Kenyatta will like to adge out those allied to the deputy president.

The presence of Raila Odinga,Kalonzo Musyoka and Musalia within the premises will complicate the matrix as politicians allied to Ruto will be at ease.

Speaking at events in Kiambu and Kajiado, Dr. Ruto had said he would not allow the ODM leader to split Jubilee under the guise of the handshake deal with President Uhuru Kenyatta.

Alluding to a Bible verse in a thinly veiled reference to Raila, Ruto asked Jubilee Party members to be wary of leaders who looked harmless but had ill intentions.

“Be wary of false prophets. They are just clothed with sheepskin but are wolves,” he said later at a fundraiser in ACK St Peter Emakoko in Kajiado County. He said.

A source has hinted to Daily Active Kenya that section of Jubilee politicians from Riftvalley might fail to attend the address.

They have been accusing the head of state of hypocrisy noting that he is on the fight to kill Ruto’s ambition in 2022.

A team led by Maina Kamanda has been accusing the deputy president of shielding his corrupt friends.

Recently Kamanda lead a group of 18 politicians to church service where they accused the DP of being corrupt and not suitable to lead Kenya.

Also former Jubilee interim vice chair David Murathe said that Ruto presidency won’t be accepted.

He said that the fight on corruption will target anyone including deputy president William Ruto.

Deputy president yesterday noted that Maina Kamanda should retire from politics and enjoy the Pesa za wazee.

“Maina Kamanda ni mzee anastahili kutulia apewe pesa za wazee,”he said.
