Researchers have claimed that oral s3x, in a big way, helps reduce the rate of miscarriage in pregnant women.

Miscarriage is mainly caused by hormonal problems, infections, lifestyle or maternal age.

Scientists from Leiden University Medical Centre in the Netherlands carried out research into recurrent miscarriages – the loss of three or more pregnancies before the 20th week of gestation.

It affects about one percent of women and the causes can vary, however, the exact reason has never actually been identified.

The Dutch team said that most existing research is based on a woman’s immune system, but paternal factors had not been as well explored.

They looked at 97 women, under the age of 36, who had experienced at least three unexplained consecutive miscarriages, as well as 137 women who hadn’t.

Around 56.9 percent of those who miscarried reported having oral sex, while almost 72.9 percent said they had done so

In their study, published in the Journal of Reproductive Immunology, the researchers led by Dr Tess Meuleman, wrote: “This study suggests a possible protective role of oral sex in the occurrence of recurrent miscarriage in a proportion of the cases.”.

The results, however, do not show a causation link and there is no evidence that oral sex is what contributed to the reduction in marriages.

Will you try out if at all it helps?
