Manchester United defender Phil Jones has revealed that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is already showing signs of Sir Alex Ferguson within his management style.
Solskjaer became the fourth permanent manager installed at the club since the departure of Ferguson back in 2013 following his appointment last week on Thursday. The Norwegian manager kick-started his permanent reign as United manager with a 2-1 win over Watford, a result that saw them return to top four with Arsenal set to face Newcastle United on Monday 1st April.
Jones revealed that Solskjaer has already shown signs of Ferguson’s management style, as quoted by Manchester Evening News, “Yeah, I definitely feel the same sort of vibe about the place,” Jones said when quizzed on the Ferguson comparisons. The same… the same buzz. The same… I don’t know, like you can’t really put your finger on it, but I know exactly what you’re saying.
“You can see similarities in that stage between now and back then. It’s nice, it’s refreshing and we’re all enjoying it.”
