Former Cs Achesa fights depression ,feel neglected by own people and government

Former Cabinet Secretary Rashid aAccesa has accused western leaders and Jubilee government of neglecting him

He is quoted lamenting that no one is bothering to petition the government to explain the circumstances under which he was sacked.

According Echesa, leaders from Western have abandoned him at his hour of need.

“I have a family, I have a following of people and friends asking questions which I can’t answer,” said Echesa last Saturday during the burial service of the late former acting managing Director of Nzoia Sugar Michael Kulundu at Khabukoshe village in Matungu Mumias subcounty.

He also reckoned that his own children are burdening him with questions on why he no-longer enjoys state power.

“People are asking what I did to Uhuru (sic). Even my own children are asking me why I was fired,” he said calling for an explanation.

But despite his predicament, Echesa said he would continue occupying front row seats in every event held in Mumias sub-county and he must be accorded respect as the first minister from the Wanga Kingdom.

“Mimi nimekuwa waziri kwenye hii serikali, sijakuwa mtu mdogo bana. Respect me even if you can’t respect my Wanga clan,” he said.

Achesa had earlier hit out at opposition leader Raila Odinga, whom he accused of undermining him by setting him up against other leaders in Western Kenya.

He said that Odinga is behind his woes after he called for him to be fired by the head of state.

Western leaders led by Malala and Boni Khalwale said that the Luhya community is being targeted.

They said the President could have replaced Achesa with a Luhya politician for their interest in the government to be represented.
