According to reports emerging in English media, Arsenal
The Gunners are believed to be in the market for a winger as Iwobi is the only natural winger at the club and Denis Suárez could return to Barcelona at the end of the season after failing to impress since his loan move in the January transfer window. Since breaking into the first team around three years ago, Iwobi is having his best season in terms of goals, having netted five in all competitions and providing seven more.
Meanwhile, Malcom has not enjoyed much playing time under Ernesto Valverde, making just one start in La Liga since his move from Bordeaux, who signed Samuel Kalu as his replacement. Iwobi has returned to Arsenal after playing two matches for the Super Eagles during the international break. Malcom’s future at Barcelona remains uncertain but the Blaugrana have no intention of letting the forward leave on the cheap, having set a 70-million-euro price tag on him.
The Brazilian has not enjoyed much playing time under Ernesto Valverde and despite the 41 million euros that the club paid to sign him, a satisfying offer may see him depart.
Barcelona underline that they will not sell the player on a low fee and although his starting price has been set considerably high, it could drop later on. According to the Italian press, Inter are last team to be added in the list of candidates that are willing to approach Malcom.
Anything more than 32 million euros is net profit on the club’s balance sheet and the priority of Pep Segura is to find players with resale value, such as Yerry Mina, Paulinho and Lucas Digne.
