When Uganda’s President Yoweri Museveni visited former President Moi, the meeting was so shrouded in mystery that no one apart from its conveners had an idea of the location.
Word is that the former President Daniel Moi has been admitted at Nairobi Hospital.
While insiders say the octogenarian checked in for
“I also visited Mzee Moi and our Speaker, Rebecca Kadaga, who are in hospital. I wish them a speedy recovery,” Museveni tweeted.
Keeps head down
Moi, 94, has managed to keep his head down since he was succeeded in 2002 by former President Kibaki.
The last public appearance Moi made was in 2017, August when he cast his vote. He was never to be seen even in the controversial repeat election that would follow.
Moi’s last public appearance was on October 26, 2017, when he cast his vote at the Kabarak University polling station during the repeat presidential election.
His health has occasionally given him a scare, which saw him flown to Tel Aviv, Israel for a knee operation in March.
