In the wake of Cylone Idai, the subject of climatic change has once again come up, but this time gaining more traction.
Also known as Global warming, many have brushed it off as a force beyond human control. It has altogether been dismissed as a hoax by the likes of U.S head of state, Donald Trump.
However, many are beginning to pay attention in the wake of recent natural calamities that end up claiming thousands of lives.
The Southern African Cyclone Idai is reported to have claimed thousands of lives and still counting.
Besides NASA’s report of climate change evidence such as temperature rise, sea level rise, ocean acidification, shrinking ice sheets and warming oceans, the space agency further reports that, “Ninety-seven percent of climate scientists agree that climate-warming trends over the past century are extremely likely due to human activities, and most of the leading scientific organizations worldwide have issued public statements endorsing this position.”
This has also aroused the interest of people online.
