Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko has today sponsored a stranded national amputee captain Brian Ochieng set to join Turkish club.
The Governor says that he personally catered for his air ticket and upkeep money to enable him join his new club.
“It’s barely four months since I sponsored our national amputees football team in the 2018 Mexico World Cup, where they performed beyond expectation.” he said in his post
The Governor says that he was happy to see the Captain of the Nairobi Amputees football team, Brian Ochieng has been signed by a top European team in Turkey (Eyyubiye Sanliurfa takim).
Turkey is number two world-wide in terms of amputees football.
Brian Ochieng managed to get this opportunity during the Mexico games where the Turkish team showed and interest in his skill.
