General Miguna Miguna Leads Comrades in Mourning Fallen UoN Student OCS Ragira

” Those who die in the war see the end of the war so that those who survive can see peace.” This is the standout message, from the outpouring condolences to the family of fallen UoN alumni Samuel Ragira alias OCS Ragira.

Mr. Ragira was gunned down on Thursday evening by unknown gunmen. Rogue Policemen later reported that he had been killed by a mob.

Until his untimely demise, Ragira was fighting for the welfare of students and traders at Klabu 36 market near UoN.

He had reported that Mungiki was harassing Mama mbogas and traders in the area, forcing them to part with 10k before constructing stalls.

Self declared NRM General, who is also a UoN alumni, called for an end to the torture and murder of innocent Kenyans by successive tyrannical regimes. As usual, Miguna cannot end without mentioning President Uhuru Kenyatta.

Embakasi East MP Babu Owino, condemned the murder of his close friends, with a ‘we shall overcome message’

“There comes a time when the cup of endurance runs over, and men are no longer willing to be plunged into the abyss of despair.” Reads part of a message from Ainabkoi MP William Chepkut.

Those who die in the war see the end of the war so that those who survive can see peace. Freedom will come because you have paid for it Sam Ragira #RIPOCSRAGIRA— Amanya KE (@DennisAmanya) March 15, 2019

UoN Vice Chancellor Prof. Mbithi mourned Ragira as a man larger than himself.

The Daily Nation Newspaper mourned Ragira as a man who died fighting for the welfare of students and traders.

Blogger Cyprian Nyakundi, was however pessimistic and reminded Kenyans about the several high profile murders that have never been resolved.

Celebrated UoN politician Obadia Ndege, aka Bishop of Hope called for speedy investigations.

The brutal assassination of University of Nairobi student leader OCS Ragira must not go unsolved. Perpetrators must swiftly be brought to book. We demand justice . #RIPOCSRAGIRA pic.twitter.com/A2UqCrm0Kr— Bishop of Hope (@NdegeSerikal) March 14, 2019

Some people have wondered why such a heinous act could be allowed to happen a few metres from State House.

A gang takes over a section of the city right next to State Hse, extorts hard working Kenyans in broad daylight, colludes with police, then boldly murders an ex student leader who stood up to them. @FredMatiangi please go the Michuki way. Finish this nonsense. #RIPOCSRAGIRA— O S I A N Y® 🇰🇪 (@DavidOsiany) March 15, 2019

Raila Junior, called for an end to this barbaric act.

Sad to lose a young person with all of life’s promise ahead; leaving behind a young family.
May God comfort the family, friends and the general comrades’ family countrywide.
Speedy investigations and justice need to be realized.#RIPOCSRagira https://t.co/OSLvBvbliG— Agnes Kagure (@itsagneskagure) March 14, 2019
