Woman charged for using offensive language in public

A Nairobi woman has been charged for engaging in offensive conduct in public.

The woman identified as Vera Kisame was accused of allegedly using abusive language towards Bernard Mwazia when she called him “shoga wewe!” words intended to provoke breach of peace.

According to Police the incident took place on February 25 at the Commercial matatu terminus along Tom Mboya Street.

Vera denied the charges. She was released on Sh5,000 cash bail. The hearing is slated for March 18.
