Women in Turkana violently resisted intentions of a man who invaded their Women’s Day celebrations on Friday meeting to cause havoc.
The unidentified drunk man stormed the women’s session at Lokori town in Turkana East Sub County to evict his wife from the meeting.
Residence were treated to a free cinema after the provoked women who were in the middle of their celebrations fiercely descended on the hapless drunk man with weighty blows and flying kicks.
The heavy liquor had taken a toll on the poor dude who appeared too weak to defend himself against a bevy of 30 women as captured in a video by Nation.
The hapless man instead lay helpless on the dusty ground and perhaps his only hope was not to sustain any bodily injuries.
“He came shouting at his wife, demanding money. We told him today is not the day to fight the wife. That is why we wrestled him down to show him today we are celebrating women in the world,” said one activist.
