The Holiness and Repentance Ministry founder Prophet David Owour has proved that you can’t fight with the anointed ‘man of God’.
It is remembered that the self proclaimed “Mighty prophet ” was embroiled in a vicious tussle with a family over the control and occupancy of a Sh1.5 billion property in Westlands, Nairobi.
The family has accused the controversial ‘mightiest prophet’ and his Repentance and Holiness Ministry of forcefully seizing the multi-storeyed apartments along upscale Rhapta Road in Westlands and the leafy suburb of Riverside Drive.
However, the Directorate of Criminal Investigation indicated on Thursday that it will not be pursuing or summoning self-proclaimed Prophet David Owuor anytime soon for accusations of obtaining property belonging to Jayne Njagi Muthoni.
Reports by The Star indicated that on Wednesday, a letter had been sent to the evangelist, through his lawyer Kimani Watenga, by the DCI asking him to find a day that he would prefer between Thursday and Friday to appear for questioning.
Jayne’s family had accused the prophet of fraudulently obtaining her properties and using them to his own advantage.
DCI detective Francis Wanjau was quoted as having divulged that Jayne was yet to record a statement since they wanted her to undergo a medical checkup first.
The DCI indicated that they summoned the house helps in order to help with their investigations into whether Muthoni was brainwashed by Owuor, as claimed, with the intention of taking advantage of her resources.
Detective Wanjau was adamant, “The house girls would be able to know If Muthoni was taking some drugs since they have been living with her.”
The media was, however, barred from establishing contact and speaking with the two women.
Detectives also denied claims that Owuor was scheduled to appear at the station to record a statement.
